	The RS4100 NAS Appliance and RS8100 NAS Server feature a disc server option that stores, manages, and shares CD and DVD disc images. It relieves the efforts of handling huge amount of discs and thousands of discs can be kept online for user access. To protect those disc images, all NAS appliances and NAS servers are equipped with a robust IDE RAID sub-systems, which feature hot-spare disks and strong data protection.

	With CD or DVD images duplicated into a NAS appliance or NAS server system, space is greatly reduced since disc images are all stored on hard disk drives in an electronic form. Clients of various OS platforms can access those discs simultaneously. Management costs are largely reduced since all discs are virtually on-line.
